Privacy policy
This explains what Pellou does with personal data. It is short because this website collects very little.
What this website collects
Nothing. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, no analytics package, no advertising pixel, and no cookie of any kind. We do not set local storage. There is no cookie banner here because there is nothing to consent to. We think it is worth stating plainly that a demand generation agency runs its own site without tracking.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical request data such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL in order to serve pages and protect the service from abuse. We do not have access to visitor-level records and do not combine them with anything else.
Fonts
Typefaces are served by Google Fonts. Loading them causes your browser to make a request to Google, which will see your IP address and user agent as part of that request. Google states it does not use Google Fonts requests to build advertising profiles. A content blocker will stop the request and the site will fall back to system typefaces.
If you email us
When you write to shaban@pellou.com we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you put in the message. Our email runs on Google Workspace. We use that information to reply and to run any engagement that follows.
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within twelve months. Correspondence connected to a live or completed engagement is kept for six years, which is the period we need it for tax, contractual, and professional records.
We do not add correspondents to a mailing list, do not sell or rent contact details, and do not share them except where the law requires it or where a service provider processes them on our behalf under contract.
Data we handle for clients
This matters more than the paragraphs above, so it gets its own section.
Running paid, lifecycle, and outbound programmes means we are given access to systems holding personal data about our clients’ customers and prospects. That might include a CRM, an email platform, or an advertising account.
In that work the client is the data controller and we act as a processor on their instructions. We access only what the engagement needs, we do not export contact data to our own systems, we do not use one client’s data to benefit another, and we do not use it to train anything. Access is removed when the engagement ends. Where required, this is governed by a written data processing agreement signed alongside the engagement letter.
Legal basis
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests to handle enquiry correspondence, performance of a contract once an engagement is agreed, and legal obligation for records we are required to retain.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have data erased where we have no continuing need or legal duty to keep it
- object to or ask us to restrict our processing
- complain to your data protection regulator
Write to shaban@pellou.com. We respond within one month, at no charge. If your request concerns data we hold as a processor for a client, we will pass it to that client and tell you we have done so.
Children
This is a business to business agency. The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under sixteen.
Changes
Material changes will be described in a short note here rather than made quietly.
